EMPLOYMENT ACT 1955, SALARY CALCULATIONS AND BENEFITS

The programme focuses on understanding laws under the Employment Act (EA) relating to compensation and benefits; and the right manner of computing wages, salaries and benefits payable. The programme is delivered in an unassuming easy-to-understand hands-on approach.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

  • Identify key provisions of the Employment Act relating to compensation and benefits.
  • Understand what goes into the computation of EPF, SOCSO and HRDF Funds
  • Correctly manage and compute the various employee benefits according to EA using the acceptable legal formula: annual leave, sick leave, maternity leave, public holidays, rest days, etc
  • Calculate unpaid leave and early leaving or late joining of employment in the month
  • Compute payments for part-time and casual employees

ABOUT THE TRAINER
Mohan Raj was the Consultant on retainer basis for the largest oil and gas union in the country for more than a decade. He has wide experience in collective bargaining having assisted several unions and companies in concluding the collective agreements. His experience in management is also entrenched by his previous position as a General Manager of Human Resources for a household-famed multinational company.
